HOTEL SKT. PETRI

5-stars hotel in the heart of Copenhagen - ready for the conference life

Daells Varehus was a department store - well known by most of the Danes, especially for its huge mail order catalogues. Now a fivestars hotel has opened on the spot.

The functionalistic building was built by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1928. Now the house has had a complete restoration. Most characteristic is the red colour of the facade - a colour which is also used inside the building.

The famous Danish artist Per Arnoldi has, besides being the colour consultant, contributed with both ceramics and lithographs for the decoration. And he was also the one to find the name of the hotel - strongly inspired by the church Skt. Petri close to the hotel.

The decorations and the choice of colours has been accomplished by the Danish artist Per Arnoldi

270 rooms and 27 suites are all furnished in a modern and classical style. Arnoldi has also been in charge of the colours of the rooms. The hotel has a big courtyard in the middle and a very big terrace with a splendid view of many of the historical buildings in Copenhagen's Latin Quarter.
In the most prestigeous suite the guest will have his own private roof terrace of 60 sqm – still with the same fantastic view.

With as many as five stars it is obvious that everything is in order - both in the rooms and in connection with all the conference facilities offered by the hotel.

Informationsteknik has installed all the AV-equipment at the hotel. The Grand Ball room consists of two individual rooms with a capacity when joined of 250-300 persons. Each room can hold about 100-150 guests.
The basis of the advanced audio visual solution was a very flexible solution focusing of user friendliness. The rooms should function individually as well as together - and the change should be as easy as possible - without any reduction in the audiences' abilities to both see and listen very clearly.
That is the reason why the two rooms technically are two independent units with a common technique room - and each with an audio visual rack which can be connected to several spots in the conference room.

To honour the high demands of the hotel we have partly used the best and most advanced products in the market partly developed customised products not yet found in the market. The rostrum is our own production including e.g. light, microphone and a built-in touchpanel for controlling all electronic facilities. A separate control panel is installed in case the rostrum is not in use. If the rooms are used as one big room, the hotel can either choose to use the two projectors together - or they can move the one projector along a rail at the ceiling. Then they can project a large image on to a transportable screen - put up for the occasion.

A special designed rostrum with a built-in AMX touch panel for managing all the electronics in the Ball room

At the staircase to the conference rooms and in the corridor you will find two large plasma screens showing the activities of the hotel. In addition we have installed 10 smaller plasma screens just outside each meeting room.

In the bar- and reception area we have installed a Bose sound system used for background music and as a PA-system. The technique is managed by a control system placed both in the reception and in the bar. The sound level can be controlled and adjusted individually in different zones.

Big and small plasma screens placed around the hotel will keep the guests informed
